Afghan Women’s Rights Watch (AWRW) is committed not only to documenting human rights violations but also to ensuring that this evidence leads to meaningful awareness, engagement, and change at both regional and global levels. Our impact is rooted in the continuous transformation of field information into credible knowledge, and knowledge into advocacy, dialogue, and action.
Through our monitoring and reporting work, AWRW contributes to increasing international visibility of the situation of Afghan women and girls. Our reports, analyses, and documented evidence are used by human rights organizations, media outlets, researchers, and policy actors to better understand the scale, patterns, and consequences of ongoing restrictions and violations.
Our global engagement is built on active cooperation with international human rights mechanisms, civil society networks, advocacy platforms, and academic institutions. We participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives, thematic discussions, and collaborative efforts aimed at strengthening accountability and improving the global response to gender-based human rights violations in Afghanistan.
We also focus on amplifying Afghan women’s voices in international spaces by connecting lived experiences with global advocacy processes. In doing so, we help ensure that Afghan women are not only represented in discussions about their rights, but are central to shaping those discussions.
AWRW measures its impact not only by the number of reports produced, but by the extent to which these efforts contribute to visibility, awareness, policy attention, and solidarity. Our goal is to remain a trusted reference point for reliable information and a meaningful actor in global efforts to defend and promote the rights of Afghan women and girls.
