Afghanistan Women’s Rights Watch has published the full version of its 2025 report, “From Marginalization to Erasure.” The report provides a data-driven and analytical assessment of the situation of women and girls in Afghanistan throughout 2025.
A total of 411 verified cases of women’s rights violations have been documented and examined in detail. These include killings, public punishments, arbitrary detentions, institutional restrictions, and widespread barriers to education, employment, and essential services. The findings also indicate that a significant number of cases were left without official investigation or legal follow-up.
Beyond statistical documentation, the report offers a structural analysis of the systematic exclusion of women from public life and explores its social, legal, and humanitarian consequences. Particular attention is given to the impact on young and educated women, who have been disproportionately affected.
This publication aims to preserve evidence, support future accountability efforts, inform the public, and strengthen international awareness and engagement.
