Panel on the Systematic Violations of Women’s Rights in Afghanistan; Launch of the Afghanistan Women’s Rights Watch Report – 2025
Afghanistan Women’s Rights Watch (AWRW) is organizing a high-level panel discussion on the systematic and ongoing violations of women’s fundamental rights in Afghanistan, alongside the official launch of its 2025 documented report on violence and rights abuses against women.
This event aims to critically examine the institutionalized discrimination, structural exclusion, and widespread human rights violations faced by women and girls in Afghanistan in the past year (2025), particularly their removal from education, employment, public life, and access to justice. The 2025 report, based on verified data, survivor testimonies, and field research, presents a comprehensive and evidence-based account of the realities Afghan women continue to endure.
The panel will bring together researchers, human rights advocates, media professionals, and policy voices to foster informed dialogue, accountability, and international attention toward the ongoing gender-based oppression in Afghanistan.
